Ultrasonic testing is a useful tool to spot defects that are not visible to the human eye, or would require large amounts of labour to disassemble and check. Using special equipment a frequency is sent through a material and monitored, the machine will pick up breaks, defects or inconsistencies in the material. These tests are ideal for examining areas on aerial devices and cranes where bulletins have been sent out, they can also be used to check large load bearing pins for defects or suspected problems.

We are currently undergoing level 1 certification for ultrasonic inspections.
